Alex is another of our senior herdsires. He is a full Chilean, with full Temuco Project breeding on the top and bottom of his pedigree. His sire is Amaretto de Temuco, owned at one time by Iris Christ of Llama Woods, and his dam is from the Throgmorton herd at Cielo Vista LLamas. I fell in love with Alex when visiting Cielo Vista for their ALSA Judge's Clinic last year. He was so stunning, and so friendly, that I was willing to build a new shelter, put up new fencing and ship him back east from Reno, Nevada! He really is a special guy! How many intact adult males will let you pick up a back foot while they are loose in a field of other males? His personality is like a giant puppy dog! Did I mention his conformation -- superb. Did I mention his fiber -- dense, curly and silver to gold. He likes the ladies. His first crias are wonderfully conformed and share his outgoing personality. We are MUCHO excited!
