WELCOME to Fort Lucas Farm!
We are Daniel and Ellen Prosser, the owners of Fort Lucas Farm. Our llama and alpaca farm is located in the picturesque village of Colrain, MA, in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
Our llamas mean a lot to us. Each one in our herd, whether born here or
elsewhere, is part of our extended family. We spend a lot of time with them
and get to know each llama's personality. It's gratifying to hear visitors
to our farm remark how happy and approachable the animals seem.
We have noticed a definite tendency for even the most
skittish and nervous llamas to relax once they have lived on our farm for a
while. The time we spend interacting with them and working around them
really pays off. We also work daily for the first week of their
lives with each of our crias, using the
Mallon Method to
desensitize them so they become approachable and friendly.
We are committed to breeding healthy, well-conformed animals,
and raising them to be friendly, approachable, and manageable. Each
animal we sell is halter-trained. If you're thinking of adding llamas to your life,
come visit Fort Lucas Farm.
